Senior Mechanical Engineer – Advanced Engineering & Development

Bristol | Hybrid (3 days onsite)

ARCA Resourcing is partnered with a global engineering and technology business seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Advanced Engineering & Development team in Bristol.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, precision-engineered systems within a highly advanced manufacturing environment, supporting projects from concept through to production.

The Role

You will lead mechanical engineering activities across new product and technology development projects, delivering robust mechanical designs while supporting safety, quality, reliability and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading mechanical engineering delivery across multiple projects
• Designing complex mechanical systems and subsystems
• Supporting cross-functional engineering teams through development milestones
• Driving best-practice engineering methods and continuous improvement
• Ensuring designs meet technical, regulatory and stakeholder requirements

About You

You will ideally have:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Experience with Design for Manufacture, Assembly or Maintainability principles
• Strong mechanical design experience within a complex engineering environment
• Knowledge of safety, compliance and design review processes such as FMEA or HAZOP
• Experience within advanced manufacturing, industrial technology, aerospace, scientific equipment, semiconductor or similar sectors
• Professional registration or progression towards chartership would be advantageous.
