ARCA Resourcing is partnered with an innovative engineering and technology company at the forefront of high-performance simulation. As they continue to expand globally, they are seeking a Mechanical Installation & Maintenance Engineer to join their growing Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, combining hands-on mechanical assembly with international installation, commissioning and maintenance projects.


This is a varied and rewarding role, splitting your time between a modern production facility in Bristol and customer sites across the UK and internationally. You'll play a key part in building, installing and maintaining advanced motion simulator systems used by some of the world's leading organisations.

The Role

As a Mechanical Installation & Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, servicing and maintaining sophisticated simulator systems. Working closely with electrical, controls and software engineers, you'll ensure every installation is delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety and customer satisfaction.

When based in Bristol, you'll support the mechanical build, testing and preparation of systems prior to shipment. When on customer sites, you'll carry out installations, preventative maintenance, repairs, upgrades and fault finding.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex mechanical systems from engineering drawings and build documentation.
  • Install and commission simulator systems at customer sites across the UK and internationally.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, inspections and mechanical repairs.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective corrective actions.
  • Support commissioning activities alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Prepare systems for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and final customer delivery.
  • Complete build documentation, inspection records and maintenance reports accurately.
  • Maintain exceptional quality standards and safe working practices at all times.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across engineering and operations to deliver successful projects.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with mentoring new team members where required.


About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys practical engineering, thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable travelling regularly as part of the role.


You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in mechanical assembly, installation or maintenance engineering.
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with precision mechanical equipment or complex machinery.
  • A flexible approach with willingness to travel throughout the UK and internationally.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional approach when working with customers.
  • A proactive attitude with a strong focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement.
